One Child at a Time
Children’s Home Society of Virginia
We believe every child deserves a chance – to thrive, be healthy, grow stronger and succeed. And to do this, children need equitable opportunities in housing, health and education.
Children’s Home Society of Virginia believes this too. They understand that children have a better chance at success when they have the support of permanent families and lifelong relationships.
More than 500 teens age out of foster homes in Virginia every year. As a result, many of them face the harsh reality of statistics that show that they don’t graduate, face homelessness, or go to jail.
But with the love and support of a permanent family, each child is given a chance to overcome the typical hurdles that have statistically set back children who come from more challenging circumstances.
In their 120 years, Children’s Home Society has served more than 13,500 Richmond children and families. They believe healthy families are the cornerstone of a healthy community, and they work diligently to transform the community by creating and supporting families in which children are able to thrive.
We’re proud to partner with Children’s Home Society and we’ll continue to support their efforts to help families thrive, and communities become healthier and grow stronger.
“Together we will continue to make a difference for Virginia’s children and families, one child at a time,” said Nadine Marsh-Carter, JD, Children’s Home Society of Virginia CEO and CHS Adoptive Parent
