Christopher Chin, PhD
President & CEO

Chris has held several roles with Robins Foundation, starting in 2014 as Director, Community Partnerships and then transitioning in 2018 to Vice President, Operations and Organizational Development. In 2022, Chris stepped into the role of President & CEO as the foundation honed and deepened its focus on early childhood care and education.

Chris has a passion for ensuring all children have the early experiences and opportunities necessary to support their positive growth and development, and his entire professional career has been dedicated to making a meaningful difference for young children and their families. Chris brings his knowledge and experience as a child psychologist, community-based researcher, nonprofit leader and now philanthropy executive to ensure Robins Foundation’s strategy and grantmaking serve the most critical needs of nonprofit partners and those they serve.

Chris is originally from the DC area but has lived in the Richmond area for over 20 years. Chris and his wife have three (pretty much grown) children. Chris enjoys playing soccer and watching live music, and he loves to go on hiking adventures and try new restaurants with his family.
